On the third day of the Democratic National Convention the Black Eyed Peas had the honor of performing. They were part of an event hosted by the Creative Coalition at The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver. Other celebrities that were at the event included Tim Daly, Ellen Burstyn, Adam Rodriguez, Kal Penn and Kerry Washington.
Tags: FergieAccording to the Associated Press, Thursday evening Fergie was spotted on the floor of the Broncos stadium before Barack Obama’s highly anticipated acceptance speech. Several fans in the crowd were heard calling out her name.
She seemed to be very fired up for the convention. Fergie also talked about how inspired she was by Hilary Clinton’s speech two nights earlier. She said that Clinton “really spoke to me as a woman. And I think she spoke to a lot of people in that way.”
Fergie might have also been there to see her bandmate Will.I.Am perform with John Legend leading up to the appearance of Barack Obama.

Although Kanye West was also in concert Wednesday in Denver, the Peas drew a much more A-List crowd. According to FOX news, stars such as Anne Hathaway, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins could be seen rockin out to the over two hour show. Sorry Kanye, but it sounds like you lost this popularity contest!

Fergie’s bandmate Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas will be on MTV this fall. There is a new talent search show called MTV’s Top Pop Group starting next month. It will be hosted by Mario Lopez and the judges will be Taboo, Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child and choreographer Brian Friedman.
The point of the show will be to find the next great pop group. Taboo obviously has some experience in this field and should hopefully have some good advice for the contestants. The show will premiere September 11 on MTV. There will be nine groups featured as contestants. The winners will receive $100,000 and the possibility of fame and success. Tune in September 11 to see Taboo on the show and don’t forget to vote for your favorite pop group. The winner will be ultimately chosen by voting from the viewer audience.

According to a number of sources, including MSNBC, Fergie has been signed to join the cast of the movie adaptation from the Broadway show Nine. Nine is an autobiographical take on the life of Fredrico Fellini and it was adapted from the Fellini movie 8 1/2. Is anyone out there as confused as me? (The director wrote a book, on which he based the movie 8 1/2. Then it was adapted to be a Broadway play called Nine, now it’s becomming a different movie called Nine…)
Oh, well, whatever… It’s a musical and Fergie has landed one of the lead characters. This is a big deal for fans of Fergie!!
Among the other cast members for the movie are such notable actors as Daniel Day-Lewis, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Sophia Loren, Nicole Kidman and Judi Dench and Kate Hudson.

I also found some great photos of Fergie’s hottie finaceé Josh Duhamel that were taken when he played golf with DL Hughley & Don Cheadle.
Apparently, the game was all part of the ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic. In the photos, it looks like he got a new, shorter haircut than we’ve seen on him in a while. Don’t worry, he still looks super hot.

Fergie fans who enjoyed seeing Fergie perform with Will.I.Am on VH1’s Big in ‘06 show are in for a treat! I just found the video of that performance on the VH1 web site. She performs London Bridge, then Will joins in with her when they perform Fergalicious.
It struck me how her music has evelved since then. She’s developed a less hip-hop, more pop sound since then. I like both. What do you think?

She looked amazing, as always, and even though I’m not a big fan of his, he looked nice with her on his arm. Together they presented the award for Best Team in the awards given by ESPN. The awards show will air on Sunday, July 20 at 9PM ET on ESPN.
