How long until this story gets turned into a movie? Three teenagers from the Tokelau islands went missing in September. Their families assumed them lost at sea and held a memorial service for them. But this weekend, they were found alive near New Zealand.

On top of that, one subplot posits that they launched their midnight cruise in search of a girl. In addition, they’re all super cute. And have impressive survival skills. Meet your new crushes: Filo Filo, Samuel Perez and Edward Nasau. They’re all underage. So hold off on any marriage proposals.

The Associated Press has the full story. The boys are from the atoll of Atafu, an island that is part of the Tokelau island group, which only has 1,500 occupants. And they basically went on a short trip in a 12-foot aluminum boat from their home island on October 5. But ran out of gas and soon ended up adrift in a rarely trafficked part of the ocean.

According to a paper called  The Dominion Post, the boys initiated this trip to chase after a girl:

“The boys had stolen [the boat] to get to Fakaofo atoll after a girl had caught their eye at an island sports event that day.”

The whole thing is terrifying – and pretty impressive that they managed to stay alive. But we couldn’t help but notice the cinematic qualities of the story, especially because – like the Chilean miners -they’re pretty cute too.

The boys survived on rainwater, coconuts, raw fish and a seagull that landed on their boat for the 50 days they were adrift. They’re now recovering and regaining their strength Tkt

Filo Filo and Samuel Perez are 15. Edward Nasau is 14. And we’re likely to see more of them once they recover from their ordeal.

I assumed that some people would be posting some video clips of Britney Spears performing live from New Orleans and luckily I was right! For those of us who can’t wait any longer to see Britney on her Circus tour here’s the opening number:

The video opens with some extra footage, things like the advertisement outside the arena and people inside waiting in line, but after the first minute or so it gets into the performance itself and the quality is surprisingly good considering the thousands of screaming fans who were there.

It shows clips from “Circus” and “Piece of Me”, then cuts to fan reactions after the show.

If the short clips aren’t enough to satisfy you, here’s a full-length video clip of Britney Spears performing “Circus” although the quality isn’t quite as strong.

The performances look absolutely amazing - I’m so proud of Britney!

Alternate title: It’s Britney, bitch.

Last night marked the official kick-off of Britney Spears’ Circus tour and reports are that the old Brit’s back. Her own website liveblogged the event, including many Twitter reports from fans who were attending the show.

Britney’s performance almost completely sold out the 19,000 seat arena, included all the promised magic acts and more, including starting the show off by lowering a dancing Britney in a cage.

The performance involved a 16-song set, including “Circus”, “A Piece of Me”, “Radar”, “Slave 4 U”, “Toxic”, “Baby One More Time”, and of course her comeback single hit, “Womanizer”.

A review over on People.com said that Britney still has a bit further to go before she can officially claim a comeback - the article mentioned that there was a strong lack of engagement throughout the performance, and that Britney didn’t even address the crowd until the very end of the show. However, from the accolades that poured out on Twitter all evening, I think that the majority of the fans were more than just a little satisfied.

Just a day away from launching her huge Circus tour starting in New Orleans, it’s also been announced that Britney Spears is a Candies girl!

Britney Spears has been announced as the new face for Candies, specifically of a clothing line for girls. The photo above and below are from a photoshoot for the company - she looks amazing!

Meanwhile, everything is getting set up for her first performance tomorrow, check out the big promo picture in New Orleans:

I wonder if Britney is nervous - although she’s done a lot of performances since her album was released in December, this is her first big tour in years. I know I’d be freaking out! On behalf of Britney Groupie I wish Britney all the best for her shows!

With Britney Spears getting ready to kick off her big Circus tour, she has arrived in New Orleans with her entourage - and her boys!

Britney arrived with Sean, Jayden, her father Jamie, and some bodyguards and personnel by tour bus, having driven from Kentwood to New Orleans. Her first performance is in the “Big Easy” tomorrow!

There’s still a lot of debate out there as to whether Britney is really ready for a huge tour but you know, all I keep hearing is that she’s been working extremely hard, taking rehearsals very seriously, and putting everything she’s got into the routines. I think that as long as people are taking care of her and making sure she gets some rest in between shows, Britney will be just fine.

When Britney Spears decided to do a circus-based tour for her album Circus, she didn’t go half-way. Aside from all the dancers and effects on the stage, Britney will also have a real illusionist on tour with her.

Ed Alonzo will be creating a mastery of magic on stage throughout the tour. Britney will be sawed in half and will also do what is called transposition which means she’ll be in one spot and suddenly show up somewhere else.

This trickery will just be one part of the show, along with the expected three-ring circus with trapeze artists and a lot of great visuals. Alonzo said that the dancing is incredible and blends hip-hop and tumbling among other steps.

As for how Britney will do on the tour, he said, “She’s really got it together. She’s totally focused. And she’s working her butt off.”

So exciting!

Britney Spears may have been secretly phoning ex-love interest Adnan Ghalib, but he may be a bit too busy to take any of her clandestine calls for the next little while. He has just surrendered to assault charges after he reportedly attempted to run over a court employee who was trying to serve restraining order papers.

Adnan has pleaded innocent to the charges and was released on a bail of $110,000. Officially, he is being charged with assault with a deadly weapon (his vehicle), hit-and-run, and battery. He could face up to seven years in jail if he’s found guilty by a jury.

The alleged assault occurred on February 11th when the restraining order by Jamie Spears was delivered to Adnan’s apartment.

You know, forget the Circus tour, this is enough of a circus all on its own!
