Carlos Leon, the father of Madonna’s daughter Lourdes, tends to stay out of the spotlight. But he recently spoke to People magazine about how he keeps the girl he calls “Lola” grounded.

“Look at me and the way I live: I ride my bicycle, I walk, I don’t have a driver,” he said. “That’s how I keep her grounded. Her mom does a good job too - she’s not that person that everyone thinks. She’s very laid back and cool.”

He said his bond with his daughter, who’s now 11, has grown over time.

“She’s at that point where she can call me and say, ‘Hey Dad, what’s up? What time are you going to get me?’ It’s really cool. We talk every day.”

The daddy-daughter pair enjoy sharing music, with both enjoying everything from Alicia Keys to Audioslave.

Just don’t expect Carlos to play the bad cop with his gorgeous girl.

“It’s hard for me to be the tough guy with my daughter. Maybe I should work on the discipline stuff, but I could leave her mother to do that!”

It is being reported that Beau Dozier, an American songwriter/producer and former Romeos band member, will be working with Beyoncé on her upcoming album, set for release later this year.

Other musicians and producers who Beyoncé will be working with include Amanda Ghost, Timbaland, Cristyle “The Ink” Johnson, Jack Splash, Johnta Austin, Tor Erik Hermansen & Mikkel Storleer Eriksen, and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. Together they have all worked with amazing artists such as Alicia Keys, Janet Jackson and Leona Lewis.

It’s great that Bey got all these top notch people to make her third studio album. I’m so excited to see what kind of sounds will emerge from the studio!

Wow! It is being reported that Beyoncé Knowles, will earn £500,000, approximately $984,290.79 in U.S. currency, for a single performance at a Bermuda music festival. She’ll be joining fellow R&B star, Alicia Keys, and British reggae group, UB40. Bey will receive half of the pay for appearing at the event and the other half is for covering any expenses that she may have during her stay in Bermuda.

A producer of the music festival, Rock Newman, has said that Beyoncé’s appearance will help boost recognition of Bermuda.

“This event will garner more worldwide attention for Bermuda than anything that has ever happened here. Folks around the world are going to say ‘Bermuda has got it going on!’”

 Solange Knowles, younger sister of Beyoncé will also perform at the festival as well as various comedians and entertainment acts.
