She strikes some sexy poses in skimpy black outfits to match the color of the new V-Rod Muscle motorcycle which she’s been promoting for Harley Davidson.
Channeling her modeling skills as a catwalk hottie and one of Victoria’s Secret’s Angels, Marisa Miller is featured wearing skimpy outfits in a series of promotional ads for Harley Davidson’s new V-Rod Muscle motorcycle. Starting from this Friday, October 10, Harley will launch the supermodel’s ads, including video, wallpapers and downloadable photos promoting the new ride, which the company referred as “sporty, sleek bike that targets a younger, urban and affluent demographic.”
“To represent such an iconic American brand is incredible,” Miller said in a statement about becoming the model of the ad. “I have grown up watching my dad and uncle ride Harleys. It’s amazing to circle back at this point in my career, and work with a brand I have so much respect for.”

Aside from her modeling career, Miller currently is busy promoting the latest Victoria’s Secret’s fragrance called “Very Sexy Dare”. She, additionally, also becomes the celebrity endorser for Remington’s ShortCut clippers not to mention her many other promotional ads for several products.

The rumors were correct! Mischa Barton did indeed fly to London for London Fashion Week. The first photos have surfaced, of Mischa Barton at the Temperley London Spring/Summer 2009 collection catwalk. Temperley London was launched 8 years ago at London Fashion Week and is now one of the top fashion brands in the world.

Mischa is wearing a Temperley London dress in the photo, one converted from the new collection. The Long Ermine dress was originally worn on the runway as a full-floor option, but Mischa is seen wearing it as a mini dress.

Romney Leader reports from Copenhagen fashion week.

You'd think that back-to-back shows from morning to night would leave little chance to do touristy things in a new city, but yesterday afternoon had me crisscrossing the Sortedams Sø to experience a number of landmarks (in the name of fashion, of course). Charlotte Eskildsen's Designers Remix Collection—so popular here that she has a boutique in the Copenhagen Airport—was held at the old elephant house in the city zoo. Attendees took in the sights (and smells) behind metal barriers while models Lisa Cant and Emma Karlsson took their first spins in Copenhagen down the well-worn cement catwalk.

On the other side of town, Bruuns Bazaar (Denmark's answer to Banana Republic) staged their show at the National Art Museum. It made for a beautiful setting but a logistical nightmare, as guests were trapped in a 45 minute queue to get to their seats. The clean silhouettes, hailed by the Dansk Daily as a return to Scandinavian minimalism, may have been better represented in a more modern venue.

A fitting end to the evening was Day Birger et Mikkelsen's massive tenth anniversary show in an outdoor arena erected in the heart of downtown. 1,500 of their closest fans paid respects to Keld Mikkelsen, who bowed to his screaming fans like a rock god. A massive thunderstorm did little to quell the post-show fever as guests poured onto the runway for an impromptu party. It's a good thing that the Champagne is always in full supply here.

There is much to like about Copenhagen, but one of its best features is how the shopping is all concentrated in the same pedestrian area. While walking around this morning I was drawn into jeweler Zarah Voight's boutique by an enticing window display that paired her candy-colored pieces with popsicles and cupcakes. Voight mostly works in laser-cuthard plastic that she juxtaposes with delicate gold chains. The designs are playful—I spotted a bracelet with a string of hot-pink Barbie stilettos, and earrings shaped like house keys. I may go back to buy the pendant necklace with a silhouetted black cocker spaniel. (I have a real one waiting for me at home).

A new addition to the retail scene here is the Swedish boutique Whyred, which opened this summer (it's the label's fourth location; the other three are in Stockholm). The brand was launched in 1999 as a denim label by three colleagues from H&M. Their collection has evolved into an enticing blend of basics with an edge. My favorite piece was a color-blocked body-con dress. The shoes are also strong; I had to tear myself away from a chunky leather heel with attached spat. Soon to be a big hit globally, you can check it out in New York City at Castor & Pollux.

MELBOURNE’S Alice Burdeu is not the only Australian fashion plate starring in new season advertising campaigns for international labels.
Fellow Melburnian Abbey Lee Kershaw is featured alongside stunning Queenslander Catherine McNeil in the latest advertisement for Express Jeans (right) in US Vogue.
Kershaw is also featured in the new Gucci campaign.
Kershaw is rapidly rising through the international modelling ranks.
McNeil, meanwhile, is one of the queens of the international catwalk and has a host of luxury label advertising campaigns to her credit.
She is appearing in campaigns for Hugo Boss, DKNY and Seafolly as well as the advertisement for Express Jeans.
Burdeu is one of the faces of the new D&G advertising campaign.

Mischa Barton appears inside the September 2008 edition of the UK InStyle magazine. Although she does not grace the cover, she has a great feature spread with a new photoshoot. In her interview with the magazine, Mischa Barton talks about the trends on the catwalk as well as her own eclectic fashion tastes.

On Vintage
“I live in vintage shift dresses or jeans, but there’s also a bit of everything, from designer to H&M, and, like, 50 pairs of shoes – that’s not so bad, right?”

On her Handbags
Bags, though, are her weakness: in fact she’s just designed her own mid-priced range. “It was so fun and creative – you sketch them and they send back a computer image,” she says. “And I loved the idea behind Kate Moss for Topshop – that your fans can afford to buy your designs.”

On being a Fashion Designer
So are there any plans for her own fashion line? “That would be cool,” she nods, before adding endearingly, “but you have to really know what you are doing.”

Man, Jessica Simpson is getting criticized all over the place these days. The latest is this jab because of an outfit Jessica wore recently while in Lake Tahoe. It’s a red, low-cut dress with heels.

Personally, I don’t think this little number is one of her worst, but the Daily Mail definitely disagrees. They said, “To some of her fans, she is a fashion icon and style personified. But we suspect even her most ardent followers won’t be copying Jessica Simpson’s porn star look.”

Ouch.

Supermodel Agyness Deyn is being lined up to appear in a Doctor Who Christmas special.
TV executives are considering several character options for the catwalk queen who will follow in the footsteps of previous guest stars Kylie Minogue and comedy veteran Bernard Cribbins.
A bbc source revealed: “Doctor Who remains the Beeb’s jewel in the crown and bosses love pulling out the stops to land a bigname star to add a bit of extra showbiz sparkle to the Christmas special.
“Agyness is the perfect choice. She’s talented and fast becoming a household name.”
The part will be the first big acting role for Agyness, who is best known as the face of designer brands like Burberry and Armani.
Agyness, 25 - real name Laura Hollins - was discovered while working in a chip shop in Ramsbottom, Lancs, in 1999. Since then she has won a string of lucrative contracts as well as carving out a career in music - lending her voice to indie band The Five O’Clock Heroes’ single Who.
She now divides her time between London and New York after splitting from long-term boyfriend Josh Hubbard, lead singer with The Paddingtons, last month.
Two years ago, Dr Who bosses brought in comedienne Catherine Tate to play bride Donna Noble in festive special The Runaway Bride. She proved a hit with viewers and was brought back as the Doctor’s assistant, replacing Freema Agyeman. Pop princess Kylie Minogue was drafted in last year to play waitress Astrid Peth in Titanic-themed episode The Voyage Of The Damned.
Doctor Who - currently starring David Tennant - was an instant ratings winner for BBC1 when it was revived in 2005 with Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor and former pop singer Billie Piper as his assistant.

With Gisele Bundchen absent from the Rio de Janeiro catwalk this season, many journalists and fashionistas have been asking themselves who the new face of Fashion Rio 2008 is.
Supermodel Isabeli Fontana has been heralded as one of the models to watch. She opened the show for Salinas swimwear collection, showed Cavendish, and Catao among others.
Fashion Rio coordinator and organiser Eloysa Simao said Fontana looks “better than ever.”
The Curitiba native, who made her return to the Rio runway after the birth of her second child and a long hiatus, has been featured in the magazines, Sports Illustrated, Elle, and Marie Claire. On top of that Fontana has graced the pages of Victoria’s Secret catalogue for the last ten years.
But the “it” girl of the season seems to be 19-year-old Emanuela de Paula, who “Tudo de Bom!” magazine called the “new star.”
The Northeastern native from Pernambuco state, who is also a Victoria’s Secret “angel,” modelled exclusively for swim wear brand Salinas this season.

Top model Kim Alexis is set to host a new reality TV contest searching for the top aging beauty to walk the catwalk.
The model/actress will host TV Land’s “She’s Got The Look,” a model-searching show for new recruits 35 years old and above.
She tells the Los Angeles Daily News, “It’s a chance to enhance women over 35 who still look good and feel good about themselves and want a second chance at something.”
“They may have stepped aside for family or for love, but always wanted to try it.”
The winner of the show will get a second chance for a supermodel career. She will sign with Wilhelmina Modeling Agency and she will get a spread in Self magazine.
Supermodel Beverly Johnson will join her in the show as one of the three judges. Celebrity stylist Robert Verdi and Wilhelmina President Sean Patterson will also serve as judges.
“She’s Got The Look” will premiere on June 4.
