A biography of Kate Middleton, Prince William’s long-time girlfriend, will be published in April 2009, according to a listing on Amazon.com.

The book, “Kate: Princess in Waiting“, is being written by Claudia Joseph. Joseph is a fashion journalist-turned-news reporter who has worked for Tatler, The Times and the Mail on Sunday.

The biography is described as “an intriguing insight into the extraordinary journey she has made from the back streets of Southall to an apartment in the royal residence Clarence House”. Exclusive interviews with some of Kate’s family and friends, as well as unpublished photographs, are set to appear in the book. However, there is no mention of an interview with Kate herself, who has so far remained tight-lipped and discreet about her royal relationship.

This is not the first book that takes a close look into the life of the special woman in Prince William’s life. Robert Jobson’s “William’s Princess: The Love Story that will Change the Royal Family Forever” was published in September 30, 2006. Almost 3 years later, will we get to know Kate a little better with Joseph’s book?

Prince Harry cheered hard for England at the rugby match against South Africa last Saturday. Unfortunately, all the energy he could muster wasn’t enough to keep England afloat. They lost 42 to 6.

Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, was beside him during the match. She probably couldn’t cheer too hard for South Africa. But one of the photos below show her looking satisfied enough, while Prince Harry covered his face with his hands.

Prince Harry and his long-time girlfriend Chelsy Davy looked so happy in these photos taken during their outing at Twickenham last week.

The pair were watching the rugby match between England and South Africa on November 21, 2008. England lost badly to South Africa, 42-6. Good thing Prince Harry had his laughs at the start of the match. Chelsy, on the other hand, might have had given him a ribbing for the loss.

The two are obviously very much in love, exchanging giggles and sweet little glances. All’s well in the Harry-Chelsy camp.

Michael Phelps has taken the big plunge with with his girlfriend and has taken her home to spend Thanksgiving in Baltimore with him and his family.

The Olympic champ and American golden boy has been dating Las Vegas cocktail waitress Caroline “Caz” Pal, 26, for nearly two months. The two met after his record-setting performance in Beijing last summer.

I don’t know about you, but two months seems awfully quick to be bringing someone home - but I’ve heard of whirlwind romances before - hopefully Michael’s family will be able to put Caz to the test and see what the girl is made of.

It all happened in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

A $99,867 Cartier diamond ring was hidden on a silver tray, as Samantha Ronson and girlfriend Lindsay Lohan were having dinner watching the sunset.

According to a source from the Esperanza hotel, “Sam brought Lindsay down at 9pm to a huge dining table laid out by the water’s edge.
Sam really went all out and even arranged for a group of Mexican singers to entertain them with songs. It was a gorgeous ring with a big diamond that Sam had bought before the holiday.
Sam asked her if she would marry her and the waiter popped a champagne cork as Lindsay accepted. It was such a beautiful setting with perfect weather and was really romantic.”

They then went back to their $2,600-a night room and celebrated all night.

Well, congratulations to the happy couple!

Jennifer Lopez will grace the September cover of Easy Living in London, and gave a typically candid interview about love and life.

She says she doesn’t talk about her ex-boyfriends because it’s disprectful to hubby Marc Anthony. Smart girl! Plus, I can’t imagine Marc loves seeing the “Jenny from the Block” or “My Love Don’t Cost a Thing” videos. She also says he doesn’t talk about his ex-girlfriends for the same reason.

Jennifer also says she fired her former manager a few years back because he told her she should diet and look like Heather Locklear. She says, “He was an idiot.”

Sounds like it. Good move on firing him, Jennifer.

It is just one of the news about Prince William that’s come out recently.

During his stint with the HMS Iron Duke, Prince William was surrounded by tattoo-sporting Navy men. He apparently got interested in having one done, a huge one in fact, one like the angel design on David Beckham’s back. According to the reported source (a sailor on the ship), the prince has only been kept back from getting decorated thusly by his girlfriend Kate Middleton’s possible reaction to it. I wonder what his grandmother, The Queen, or his father, Prince Charles, would have thought of it.

Prince William and Kate recently enjoyed a break at their favorite holiday destination, Mustique (photos at the Mail Online). The couple stayed at the Villa Rocina, went wakeboarding and took rides together on inflatables over the water. They also attended a dinner dance party for the 40th anniversary of the Mustique Company, which manages the island. Also in attendance at the party were Mick Jagger, Tommy Hilfiger and John and Belle Robinson, Kate’s former employers at Jigsaw. Their holiday continues to fuel speculation that Prince William is to pop the question soon, if he hasn’t already!

And if and when they get married, among those who are lining up for an appearance from the couple is TV’s Homer Simpson. Producers of The Simpsons are said to be eager to sign up both Prince William and Kate to be guests on the show. They say that it will help Prince William “connect on so many levels”. While such a project may be fun for Prince William, I’d be surprised if The Queen agrees to it. I’m afraid that it might detract from the grandeur of a royal wedding.

Finally we get a glimpse of Monaco’s Prince Albert at the Olympic Games in Beijing. As a member of the International Olympic Committee, the prince is there on an official capacity, and of course, as an avid sportsman and former Olympian.

Prince Albert attended the weightlifting event of these Summer Games, with his girlfriend Charlene Wittstock.

Lindsay Lohan grew up Catholic.  I suppose if you’re gay, you wouldn’t worry so much about birth control or the child factor - so why not change religions?

According to the Mirror UK, Lilo updated her Facebook profile to say she has a new religion.

A source says: “Two years ago it was Kabbalah. Now it seems she’s keen to please girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, by converting to her religion.”

Lindsay then updated her Myspace with the statement of affection that reads: “I miss Sam cuz she’s out of town.”
