Kate Moss joined the growing crowd of celebrities at Glastonbury last night . The 34-year-old supermodel braved the rain and mud to support her boyfriend, The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince, as he took to the stage to perform. Surrounded by a huge entourage of bodyguards she was joined by singer Lily Allen as she made her way through the festival to take up her place backstage. Meanwhile revellers battled on through the mud as the Festival continued. Intermittent showers saw the return of the infamous Glastonbury slop - making navigating the site at Worthy Farm, Pilton, in Somerset, a real chore. But 180,000 people at the festival - including ticket holders and staff - refused to let the swamp-like conditions and dank weather get the better of them. The weather is set to continue as it has been - fairly calm with only occasional light showers and drizzle predicted. Tom Knowles, 27, a retail manager, from Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, said: ‘Every time the heavens opened, I felt a little down. I kept thinking “oh God is this it” but it kept clearing after 10, 15 minutes tops. ‘The bands I saw were incredible. I love MGMT on the John Peel Stage - definitely a highlight.’ Gareth Harvey, forecaster for MeteoGroup UK, the weather division of the Press Association, said there was even a strong chance of sunshine later today. Temperatures should remain around the 19C to 20C mark, accompanied by a fairly brisk wind. Tonight’s line-up is one of the most controversial in a long time. New York rapper Jay-Z will take to the stage tonight for one of the most talked about headliners at Glastonbury Festival in years. Many - including Oasis’ Noel Gallagher - have spoken out against festival founder Michael Eavis’ decision to give the world-famous hip-hop artist the premier Saturday night top slot on the Pyramid Stage. But others have welcomed the move - calling it progressive and exciting - taken by Eavis to entice a younger audience to the 38-year-old festival. It is a bride’s privilege to be the last person to arrive at the church on her wedding day – but not, it seems, if you invite Kate Moss to the service.
The supermodel caused a stir at her friend Leah Wood’s marriage to Jack Macdonald yesterday afternoon by turning up at Southwark Cathedral in Central London ten minutes later than anyone else – including the bride.
Moss, who was with her daughter Lila Grace and rock-star boyfriend Jamie Hince, swanned in late following lunch at The Ritz hotel.
Wearing a floor-length grey strappy dress and six-inch grey heels, she posed for waiting photographers, apparently oblivious to the hour.
The bride, the 29-year-old daughter of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, had arrived exactly on time.

Looking glamorous in a cream satin dress with a six-foot train, she was driven to the cathedral in a maroon Rolls-Royce and escorted into the church by her father.
Among the eclectic congregation were Rolling Stones Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, model Jerry Hall, artist Tracey Emin, snooker player Jimmy White and TV hosts Cilla Black and Paul O’Grady.
Jagger is believed to have arrived and left by a side door to avoid photographers.

Friends joked that Leah deliberately chose the longest day of the year to marry, so the ?250,000 party could last all the longer.
The reception at Ronnie’s mansion in Kingston, Surrey, had a Midsummer Night’s Dream theme and was not due to end until lunchtime today.
Ronnie left the organising to his daughter and wife Jo, who chose the organic menu, but did make a few suggestions of his own.

A source said: ‘Ronnie thought it would be funny to hire a group of dwarves as waiters – but no one knows if he actually did it.
‘The running joke is that if the dwarf waiters don’t show up she can always use the Rolling Stones as stand-ins.’

Miss Wood, who has dabbled in modelling and singing, has been dating Sky News producer Macdonald for 11 years.

Dude. This is the funniest thing ever! Kate Moss was recently in Germany, at the launch party for her new fragrance called Velvet Hour, when her hair extensions got bored and went KERPLUNK, falling to the ground and leaving the supermodel blushing and horrified. She was so horrified, in fact, that she appeared to have just bolted, leaving her fake hair behind for someone to grab and more than likely sell on ebay.

Italian designer Roberto Cavalli has chosen four top models to replace Kate Moss in his new Fall/Winter 2008-09 ad campaign. The campaign, to be shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, is inspired by one of our favorite movies, Luchino Visconti’s 1963 Il Gattopardo (”The Leopard), based on the book by Giuseppe Tomasi Di Lampedusa. The movie, set in Sicily in the 1860s, stars Burt Lancaster as an Italian prince struggling to maintain a dying aristocracy, Alain Delon as his dashing nephew, and the beautiful Claudia Cardinale as Angelica, daughter of a rich former peasant who represents the new social order. Cavalli has chosen models Isabeli Fontana, Angela Lindvall, Raquel Zimmerman and Frankie Rayder to play the parts of Cardinale and the movie’s other beauties in the ads. “I’ve always been aesthetically fascinated by this film,” Cavalli tells Women’s Wear Daily. “I also find Il Gattopardo, a story that’s based on the idea that ‘the more it changes, the more it stays the same,’ a good metaphor for fashion. In the campaign, the heroine - a sort of new Angelica - dances in the wilderness while a fire rages in the background; she represents the force of everything that is new, yet in the end she dresses like a romantic debutante.” We think Fontana for one is perfectly cast as she bears an uncanny resemblance to Cardinale. source: luxist.com

Well, it appears as if Jessica Alba loves riding the ‘London Eye’. In fact, she holds the record as the celebrity who rode it the most times in history, 31 times (Kate Moss is second with 25). “Jess fell in love with the Eye when it was used in her film The Fantastic Four,” The Sun quoted a source, as saying.

“She did a lot of interviews down there and has since come back to bring all of her friends and family. She was even given a private tour of the control room on one occasion. Kate Moss loves using the birds-eye view of the city to pinpoint all her favourite party haunts!” the source added.

The 440ft Eye marked its 30 millionth customer on June 5, great reason to mention Jessica Alba and get some publicity, eh?

Now Tillmans is back—in fact, the summer of 2008 is turning into something of a renaissance for the first photographer to win the Turner Prize. One of Tillmans' first collectors was the Polish-born advertising entrepreneur Christian Boros, who will give Tillmans' work pride of place in the five-floor exhibition space he is opening in a renovated Berlin bunker in July. Nearby, a retrospective of Tillmans' photography is on view at the Hamburger Banhof in August. And in London, Maureen Paley will have his work on display from tomorrow. Grunge lives.

Leonardo Dicaprio’s (Israeli) supermodel girlfriend was one of many sexy supermodels in attendance at the Puerta De Europa Bridal Fashion Show at IFEMA in Madrid, Spain yesterday. Refaeli was photographed modeling a plethora of wedding dresses, some of them white and glamorous, others, black and sexy, kind of giving off that, “I want to marry you but I’m probably pretty evil” vibe.

I wonder if Bar will be wearing her own wedding dress anytime soon? After all, she and Leo have been together for quite awhile…unless I’m thinking of his last supermodel girlfriend.  Heck, didn’t he even date Kate Moss, too?  I wonder if he’s ever dated someone…not a supermodel.  It would seem that good ol’ Leonardo is a strict fan of of tall, skinny ladies!

Kate Moss likes to think she has a wonderful singing voice. And who knows, maybe she does! For months now she’s been asking her boyfriend Jamie Hince to let her sing with him on stage, alongside his well-known band, The Kills.

But Jamie says no. No way. No dice. Not my band. Negative.

A recent article writes, “There are absolutely no plans to get Kate involved. ‘She’s got a beautiful voice but this is my thing,’ the Sun quoted him (Jamie) as saying. Moss had been allowed by her former lover Pete Doherty to accompany him on stage. But this time she is in for a very big disappointment as Hince has refused to have anything to do with her on stage.”

I kind of understand where Jamie is coming from, but at the same time, at least let her sing one single solitary song, or something. Just to shut her up, if nothing else!
