Fergie’s bandmate Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas will be on MTV this fall. There is a new talent search show called MTV’s Top Pop Group starting next month. It will be hosted by Mario Lopez and the judges will be Taboo, Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child and choreographer Brian Friedman.

The point of the show will be to find the next great pop group. Taboo obviously has some experience in this field and should hopefully have some good advice for the contestants. The show will premiere September 11 on MTV. There will be nine groups featured as contestants. The winners will receive $100,000 and the possibility of fame and success. Tune in September 11 to see Taboo on the show and don’t forget to vote for your favorite pop group. The winner will be ultimately chosen by voting from the viewer audience.

I love this Destiny’s Child song and this video for “Girl” has a complete Sex and the City vibe.  With that movie being released this past weekend, it made me think of this.  Beyoncé’s Dreamgirls co-star, Jennifer Hudson, is in the Sex movie.  Did anyone see it???

The only drawback to this song is Michelle Williams‘ singing.  I don’t mind her usually but her voice just did not go well with these chords.  Did anyone else get a “hair commercial” vibe from this, by the way?  Every time I see Beyoncé sitting at the table, I think L’Oréal, lol.

Beyonce has ended speculation about whether she is now the wife of Hip Hop mogul, Jay-Z.  Some fans (myself included) have chosen not to fully accept the news until one of them confirmed it. 

Bey recently said of the secret wedding last month: “I don’t deny it (the wedding). I just don’t talk about it. We’ve never talked about us and it’s kind of protected our relationship. I think it’s kept us out of tabloid drama.  A lot of actresses that have had successful relationships don’t talk about them, so neither do I.”

Well, I agree that it’s probably best that they don’t talk about it for those reasons but there has been tabloid drama (Jay’s reported Baby Mama, Bey’s supposed affair with LeBron James and Jigga’s with Rihanna, etc…).

Brad Pitt proved himself to be just your regular Dad the other night in Cannes. He arrived at a party to celebrate the premiere of the film Synecdoche, New York, which is Michelle Williams‘ new movie. He hung out by the fire and chatted with Michelle for a little while, and then he sat and showed longtime friend Catherine Keener photos of the Jolie-Pitt kids that he had stored on his iPhone (a man with a gadget, can’t resist that!). Brad also talked about how excited he was for Angelina Jolie to give birth to their twins.

Apparently Brad also practiced his French on a guest at the party. Maddox Jolie-Pitt attends a French school so it would be really beneficial for Brad to speak the language too. I’d love to hear his accent!

I love these little moments that we get to hear as fans. Brad Pitt is an enormous celebrity who can’t go anywhere without people screaming his name, but when it all comes down to it, he’s still just your plain old dad carrying pictures of his kids and talking about his babies.
