Although Kanye West was also in concert Wednesday in Denver, the Peas drew a much more A-List crowd. According to FOX news, stars such as Anne Hathaway, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins could be seen rockin out to the over two hour show. Sorry Kanye, but it sounds like you this popularity contest!

Punctuality

It is 8.25 in the morning when I occupy my office desk. To tell the truth I was here at 8.22 yesterday, 8.35 the day before, and 8.33 before that. To those eyes seeing me for the past few months, if they notice, this is some sort of a mini-miracle, if not a full blown one, because I have always been a 9.30 guy. Never before 9.30 in office come what may! Seriously though, 9.30 is the office hour here and the need never arises for me to be in office earlier then that. But here I am today, sitting in my office desk at 8.30 waiting for Jake who might come in any minute through the tinted glass door.

Whenever I am waiting and he comes in, my smile flash like lightning just before a storm, always expected but nevertheless makes you surprise when it comes. Then his smile unfailingly followed mine like the rumble that follows the lightning, happy to be a partner to create the impending storm. We kiss, our shirts and trousers are molested and then shaken off violently, and the underwear is treated like the final barrier to our goals and almost gets torn. It is when we are naked, when we feel each others skin that we realize we are making . It is not a storm anymore; it is just unending rainfall, the rhythm of the raindrops singing a sweet song. We didn't speak the whole time, there was no need. Two men following their most primitive instinct, no words are needed.

But that was before and only a hope for today. The slightest change in plan, somebody else coming early or Jake not making it in time, could derail everthing. I look at my wrist to check the time again and the door creaked open; the wait is finally over for my smile to flash. The watch shows 8.30 am. We have been punctual today and rewards are expected.

Angelina Jolie in Vanity Fair

There’s a fantastic interview with in the upcoming Vanity Fair magazine. I’m not crazy about the picture on the cover because they really overdid it on her - when you’re as beautiful as she is you don’t need a ton of makeup and voluminous hair. Angie has always said that she just puts a gloss on her lips because they stand out on their own, so it’s a bit startling to see her in red lipstick. Check it out.

In the meantime, here is the teaser for the full interview which we’ll be able to read when the issue hits newsstands:

on being :
“I it. It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing. Also, I’m fortunate. I think some women have a different experience depend-ing on their partner. I think that affects it. I happen to be with somebody who finds pregnancy very sexy. So that makes me feel very sexy.”

on her international family:
“When I was growing up I wanted to adopt, because I was aware there were kids that didn’t have . It’s not a humanitarian thing, because I don’t see it as a sacrifice. It’s a gift. We’re all lucky to have each other. I look at Shiloh—because, obviously, physically, she is the one that looks like Brad and I when we were little—and say, ‘If these were our brothers and sisters, how much would we have known by the time we were six that it took into our 30s and 40s to figure out?’ I suppose I’m giving them the childhood I always wished I had.”

on Shiloh’s birth:
“We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don’t think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing…. I had a C-section and I found it fascinating. I didn’t find it a sacrifice and I didn’t find it a painful experience. I found it a fascinating miracle of what a body can do.”

on nannies:

“We don’t ever have anybody spend the night. We may have to adjust that when the next one comes. But we do have ladies that work with us, and they’re also from different cultures and back-grounds. One lady’s a Vietnamese teacher—wonderful. One is of Congolese descent from Bel-gium. Another is from the States and is really creative and does art programs.”

on artists as :
“Artists raise their kids differently,” she said. “We communicate to the point where we probably annoy our children. We have art around the house, we have books, we go to plays, we talk. Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It’s what we . So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists.”

I that she’s enjoying pregnancy since she once thought it was not something she would ever do. What a great change in her life. I guess when you meet the right person, your choices can shift.

The issue is for July and will be out next week.
