Looks like the Maddens (Joel and Nicole Richie) have really become fast friends with Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson. The twosome were at the Ashlee and Pete’s wedding, and recently Nicole and Ashlee were out shoe shopping together.

And of course, the two couples are both entering parenthood. So it stands to reason that they’d be giving the Went’z some parenting advice. Pete says Joel Madden has been a great source of tips. Pete says, “”Joel gives me advice. (It’s) been really awesome for me to go to another person my age.”

First, Ashley Simpson was seeking advice from friend and new mom, Nicole Richie, now her husband Pete Wentz is looking to make it a full-on family affair by soliciting advice from Joel Madden.

“Joel gives me advice,” Pete told People on Tuesday. “[It’s] been really awesome for me to go to another person my age.”

Pete is totally right. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of young families in Hollywood, especially ones that understand the pressures of fame and what that means for your child. I think this foursome is a great match and will be able to learn a lot from each other.

According to In Touch, Britney Spears currently doesn’t have a man in her life and she doesn’t mind. She doesn’t want a random hookup because she is reportedly looking for love this time around. She has been celibate for the last 7 months.

Britney’s previous outrageous sexual behavior could have been due to her bipolar disorder. “With bipolar, you become hypersexual,” Dr. Drew Pinsky tells In Touch. “Before Britney began treatment, sleeping around with different men could have been the result of the manic state she was in.”

“I am seeing the results of good psychiatry and good parenting,” Dr. Pinksy adds.

Jennifer Garner and husband Ben Affleck are expecting baby number two - confirmed by Garner’s former Alias co-star Victor Garber.

The pair have evaded spotlight since having their daughter Violet two years ago and according to all the reports I’ve seen/read or heard, they’re doing a wonderful job of parenting the little Miss V.

Last October, Jennifer hinted that she and Ben were looking at possibly adding another baby to their family and it looks like her plan is taking shape.

Rumors have sparked over recent weeks as the result of her wearing loose fitting tops.

No word yet on when the world can expect another Bennifer baby arrival, but you can bet we’ll be watching the progress for sure.

The court battle between supermodelmom Christie Brinkley and porn enthusiast Peter Cook rages on!

In day four of the court proceedings, the court heard from Stephen Herman, a court appointed psychiatrist. He recommended that Christie head to therapy due to her decisions with men:

“She needs to start working on therapy issues relating to her parenting…maybe her choice of male figures…certain motivations that she had herself that can get her into trouble.”

The psychiatrist interviewed Christie, Peter, and the kids and came to the conclusion that Christie should have custody of the children, due to Peter’s “poor judgment.”

I bet that was music to her ears as she sat there looking like a librarian.

Little Honor Marie Warren is only four weeks old, but already mom Jessica Alba has firm ideas about how she’ll raise her.

The Hollywood star spoke to Britain’s Sunday Express about her plans for parenting, explaining that “kids’ personalities have so much to do with the parents and their mentality.

“If you’re very paranoid and uptight and won’t let your child cross the street, they are going to take on that anxiety. If you’re a little more laid-back and make your kids responsible for their actions, you’ll probably have an easier time with them. I guess I’ll find out.”

Right now Jess is reading up on the links between vaccinations and other medical conditions. As a child she suffered from pneumonia, a burst appendix, a cyst on her tonsils, asthma, and a collapsed lung so she’s taking extra care with her precious daughter.

“I’ve come to think that perhaps I was a product of my environment or the vaccines or something my mother took when she was pregnant. I’ve been reading a lot about kids and infections.”

I don’t want to get involved in that controversial debate, but I do think doing your research on anything your child will face can only be a good thing.

Nicole Richie hopes to be more relaxed parent than her folks, Lionel Richie and ex-wife Brenda. She recalls her upbringing was “really, really strict,” and said she hopes to be more easy-going with her daughter Harlow.

While the reality star hopes to be a cool mom, she admits that “you never know until it happens to you!”

Her parents may have been stern, but she said they were also “amazing.” Now their relationship has changed, but they are still “great people to turn to if I ever need advice.”

Nicole visits her mother three or four times a week, and sees dad Lionel once a week, so she’s got no shortage of parenting advice!

“[My dad] comes from a father standpoint. He gives Joel [Madden] a lot of advice,” she told Extra. “I get advice from my mom.”

Ah, Father’s Day. It’s the perfect time to remember all of our favorite celebrity dads (or, celebri-dads) who’ve wowed us over the last year with their stellar parenting skills and whatnot. Here we go:

1. Kevin Federline. Well this one goes without saying! Even the big wigs at Las Vegas club Prive in Planet Hollywood agree that K-Fed is the man when it comes to fathering raising children, and honored him as “Dad of the Year” on Friday night! To be fair, he did get those babies away from Britney “5150″ Spears last year, so he’s doing something right. He turned out to not be quite as big of a dope as we all thought!

2. Matthew McConaughey. Sure he’s not a dad quite yet, but we needed a reason to use this completely gratuitous picture of Matty sans shirt…

Yup, clubs do have the strictest parenting opinions…

Kevin Federling has been named Father of the Year by Las Vegas club Prive.

“I’m surprised,” Federline said when asked how it felt to win the title.

Britney’s ex, 30, hit up the club with eight male pals — including divorce attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan — just before 1 a.m. Saturday morning.

Federline — also named a Power Player last year — had a quiet night at the club, chilling with friends and pumping his fist into the air when Timbaland’s “The Way I Are” was played by the DJ.

Prive presented Federline his Father of the Year trophy “someplace quiet” at the dad-of-four’s request, so clubgoers didn’t see the ceremony, according to a source.

He was gone by 3:15 a.m.

Two Britney Spears related books are about to be released by the end of the year and while the first is set to show the recovering artist in a good-loving light, the second promises to put all of her dirty laundry out in public.

Lynn Spears‘ book Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World is officially set for a release in September. “When Jamie Lynn got pregnant, it was put on hold,” says a spokesman for Thomas Nelson, which publishes inspirational books and Bibles. “Lynne never stopped working on it because she wants to express her love for her children and tell their stories through a mother’s eyes.”

Unlike expected the book “will not be a parenting book. It’s her story of what it was like being a mom and raising two very famous people. It’s a memoir.”

The second, and more troublesome book is titled Stalking Britney: Under Siege With Britney Spears and is written by reporter Ian Halperin. He promises to talk about Britney’s attempt to kill herself and will include more related ‘hater juice’.
