When Britney Spears decided to do a circus-based tour for her album Circus, she didn’t go half-way. Aside from all the dancers and effects on the stage, Britney will also have a real illusionist on tour with her.

Ed Alonzo will be creating a mastery of magic on stage throughout the tour. Britney will be sawed in half and will also do what is called transposition which means she’ll be in one spot and suddenly show up somewhere else.

This trickery will just be one part of the show, along with the expected three-ring circus with trapeze artists and a lot of great visuals. Alonzo said that the dancing is incredible and blends hip-hop and tumbling among other steps.

As for how Britney will do on the tour, he said, “She’s really got it together. She’s totally focused. And she’s working her butt off.”

So exciting!

Christopher “CJ” Wallace is following in the footsteps of his famous father, literally. The 12-year-old son of the late Notorious B.I.G. plays his father in the new biopic Notorious.

Biggie’s widow Faith Evans said she allowed her son to put his ordinary life on hold for the role.

“If it wasn’t for this project being the project it was, I wouldn’t have pulled him out of school,” Faith explains. “He thinks he’s interested [in being a performer], then every time he remembers that tutor he had on set he goes back to reality. He’s like, I don’t know.’ It’s fun, but it’s still work.”

He’s quickly learned that the work isn’t done just because the movie wraps! Now it’s time for those promo opportunities, like ringing the opening NASDAQ bell.

“He didn’t want to get up that early, but I’m like, ‘Uh-uh, baby, you go to work. You want fame? Fame costs,’” said Faith.

CJ also raps on the film’s soundtrack in a remixed version of his dad’s hit “One More Chance.”

A biography of Kate Middleton, Prince William’s long-time girlfriend, will be published in April 2009, according to a listing on Amazon.com.

The book, “Kate: Princess in Waiting“, is being written by Claudia Joseph. Joseph is a fashion journalist-turned-news reporter who has worked for Tatler, The Times and the Mail on Sunday.

The biography is described as “an intriguing insight into the extraordinary journey she has made from the back streets of Southall to an apartment in the royal residence Clarence House”. Exclusive interviews with some of Kate’s family and friends, as well as unpublished photographs, are set to appear in the book. However, there is no mention of an interview with Kate herself, who has so far remained tight-lipped and discreet about her royal relationship.

This is not the first book that takes a close look into the life of the special woman in Prince William’s life. Robert Jobson’s “William’s Princess: The Love Story that will Change the Royal Family Forever” was published in September 30, 2006. Almost 3 years later, will we get to know Kate a little better with Joseph’s book?

Brad Pitt and Ann Curry sat down yesterday in New Orleans to talk about Make It Right, New Orleans, and his life with Angelina Jolie and their children.

It was taped yesterday but aired this morning on the Today show. Here’s the six-minute segment:

Do you know what struck me right off the bat? They were talking about how there are already eight families living in completed homes while work continues on the rest. Brad was saying how great it was to know that some families were finally home for the holidays after so much time since Katrina - and then when Ann asked him if he had met these families, he started talking about them by name.

It may not sound like a huge deal but Hollywood is made out to be selfish in general, but here was Brad, knowing everyone’s name, their kids’ names, which house they live in… That’s someone who isn’t just throwing money at a problem but someone who is getting as completely involved as possible in every aspect of helping out people who have been waiting for years to come home.

Brad was reluctant to talk about his family at first but he opened up a bit, saying how amazing it is to have these six kids from all parts of the world who play and laugh and fight. He admitted that no, having six kids is not easy, but you get so much out of it.

He also talked about adoption and what it’s like to love a child that isn’t biologically your own and he confessed that he had wondered about the same thing, whether it would be harder but Brad said that it’s an automatic thing, you just love them.

Ann made me laugh when she said she was annoyed with him because she thinks she’s okay with a camera, and then along comes Brad with a big photo shoot of Angie and the kids in W magazine. Brad explained that his reason for doing that was because you don’t often get to see the warm, natural side of Angelina in other shoots. I agree with that!

Brad flat-out said he hates the paparazzi, differentiating between the photographers who take photos at special red-carpet events and the ones who climb over walls to scream your kids’ names to snap money shots. He said he thinks there should be laws against allowing them to follow after kids with cameras.

Ann asked the question about marriage, saying that once a reporter asked Angelina if she would ever get married to Brad and she said to ask him. He laughed about that and said that if it becomes important to the kids they’ll see.

According to NOLA.com, tonight there will be a special invitation-only screening of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in New Orleans. The article is from Saturday, and they were still saying that it was uncertain as to whether Brad Pitt would be on the red carpet or not.

However, we now know that the Jolie-Pitt family is indeed back in New Orleans so it’s definitely possible. The arrivals are scheduled for 6 pm with a pre-party, then the screening at 7 pm. If it all wraps up by 10 pm, Brad could definitely still get enough sleep for his Today interview. I’ve heard that Ann Curry is supposed to go to New Orleans rather than Brad going to the studio, so he wouldn’t even have to try to catch a red-eye flight to fit it all in.

Thus, be sure to come back later to see if there are any red carpet pictures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the NOLA screening of Benjamin Button. If he’s in town I can’t see him skipping out on the event!

Lindsay Lohan has refused to quit her online blog - because it proves to the public she’s not “empty”.

The Mean Girls star has used her MySpace blog to share her thoughts on politics, round-about discussion of her relationship with Samantha Ronson and random bits that make her more ‘human’ to her readers and fans.

She says, “There’s a person in here. And I have feelings too, whether it’s about politics, the person I’m seeing, the person I’m not seeing. That’s my way of connecting. I don’t want people to think that I’m just an empty f**king whatever.”

I would like to see more stars blogging - letting readers and fans get a glimpse and feel of them as humans.

The only problem I see is the freaks who make it bad for everyone. Much like the crazed fan of Paula Abdul who recently ended her life near Paula’s home.

Personally, I enjoy following stars, what they are doing, where they are going - mostly because I can’t go and do all they do.

In the latest Hollywood flash pairing, Shanna Moakler and Gerard Butler were photographed getting cozy at the Hollywood opening of Shin nightclub on Monday. If this was anything at all I don’t think it’s going to be more then a quick fling but we’ll see! Shanna was very recently dissed on Travis Barker’s blog saying she hasn’t been to the hospital to visit him.
