Sweet buttered Moses! Nikki Blonsky, best known for her role in the movie version of “Hairspray” has been arrest for assault along with her dad!

Here’s what happened: they were both incarcerated Wednesday after getting into a fight with a woman at Providenciales International Airport in Turks and Caicos.

Nikki was charged with actual bodily harm; her father was charged with grievous bodily harm - which means they basically beat the shizznat out of some lady!
In fact, the woman was so badly hurt that she had to be flown off the island to a hospital that doesn’t use leeches and chicken blood. I mean, a more sophisticated hospital. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Anyway, do you think they’ll do jail time? Of course not! Celebrity peoples don’t get in trouble, they just go to rehabilitation center!

Oh, my. Now this HAD to be awkward. You know that Mel Gibson has kind of taken troubled pop star Britney Spears under his wing, right? Well, lately that included setting her up with one of his twin sons who went to rehabilitation center too and got himself together. The Enquirer has more:

“Mel felt Ed would be a great influence on Brit, and if the bond turned to romance, all the better,” said the insider.
So Gibson arranged a meeting between the pair at Britney’s home in the Hollywood Hills last March, said the source.
“He sincerely believed that his son could help Britney stay on the straight and narrow and that they might hit it off as a couple as well,” the insider explained.
But Britney, 26, gave the cold shoulder to Mel and Edward…
“She hid from them most of the night,” revealed the insider. “Mel and his son spent most of the evening talking to her bodyguards.”

Well, honestly, I can see this working. Mel seems to have his head on relatively straight, he does have some infamous messups, but he seems to genuinely care about his family and really seems to care about Britney, too. Personally, though, I would be VERY wary of inviting this completely unbalanced person (Britney) into my family - she’s just too unstable.

Note to self: maybe you’d better cut back on the Drano drinking, because SURELY that’s going to be detrimental to your health in some way. Amy’s a role model!

Lindsay Lohan has only been the set of her new movie Labor Pains for a week, but so far she’s earned high marks for professionalism as she gets her film career back on track.

“We were a little bit reluctant to work with her,” Lati Grobman, one of the producers, tells PEOPLE. “But she’s been amazing.”

Lohan, 21, whose movie career has been stalled by several stints in rehabilitation center, showed up for work June 9 on the L.A. location and has consistently been early and well-prepared for the grueling 12-hour shooting days, says Grobman.

In her return to comedy, Lohan plays a publishing house employee who escapes getting fired by pretending to be pregnant.

“She’s so natural at what she does. I’ve never seen one take where she’s off,” says Grobman. “The difference between her and the other girls that are naughty in the business is that she’s actually talented. It’s not [like] Paris Hilton and the rest of them. We took the chance. It’s good that we did. So far, so good.”

The only problem is the horde of photographers who have infiltrated the Los Angeles-area locations.

“Paparazzi are ruining my life,” says Grobman. “This is the most insane thing I’ve ever seen in my life. They do things that are very, very aggressive. I’m not a producer anymore, I’m a police woman.”

R&B star Rihanna wants to record a “feminist anthem” for her next album with fellow chart-toppers Amy Winehouse and Duffy.

The Umbrella hitmaker has drawn up a wishlist of musicians and producers she wants to work with when she next hits the studio, with Winehouse, Duffy, and Winehouse-collaborator Mark Ronson right at the top.

She tells the Bbc, “I love Mark Ronson. We’ve talked about doing something together on my next album”.

Rihanna adds of a ‘dream team’ with Brits Winehouse and Duffy: “How amazing would that be? We’ve all got three different voices, it would be brilliant. Now that would be a feminist anthem.

“I love Amy. I think she’s great, so unique. I love her album. And I also love what Duffy is doing, she’s brilliant, as well”.

She was released and is going to be sent to rehabilitation center (no kidding, right?). She should have listened to Whitney’s public service announcement:

Kirsten Dunst is hitting out at reports saying that she went to the Cirque Lodge in Utah for a drug or alcohol problem. She’s now defending herself, saying that she went there for treatment of her depression.

She says, “I didn’t go to Cirque Lodge for alcohol abuse or drug abuse. I went there for depression. It was a good six months before I decided to go away. I was struggling, and I had the opportunity to go somewhere and take care of myself. I was fortunate to have the resources to do it. My friends and family thought it was a good idea, too. But I didn’t know where to go. My doctor recommended Cirque Lodge.”

One of the twelve steps is not to lie to people, so I may just buy this depression story. Let’s just hope she gets bett
