Following this handful of bad reviews and more that I just skipped can The Love Guru really not suck after all? Well if it is up to ESPN’s Sam Alipour he keeps his hopes up.

In a column titled Why “The Love Guru” can’t possibly suck Alipour who describes himself as a guy who “dude who has no vested interest in promoting this movie and explained by a dude who knows comedy, hockey and Jessica Alba’s tonsils” outlines 15½ reasons why “The Love Guru” doesn’t suck:

1) LIKE THE SHAGADELIC SPY, GURU PITKA IS BATTLE TESTED
2) THERE’S A JOKE A MINUTE, AND MANY OF THEM SOUND FUNNY
4) ALBA ISN’T JUST GREAT TO LOOK AT
5) … BUT, BOY, SHE’S GREAT TO LOOK AT!
6) TIMBERLAKE, BABY!
12) THE BACKLASH FROM THE HINDU COMMUNITY?
13) BESIDES, DEEPAK DIGS IT

Supposedly, Tom Cruise has a fleet of cars that all look normal on the outside, but in reality they are bomb-proof. Keeping his family safe is important to him and I guess he believes bomb-proof cars are necessary for the type of life he lives. All celebrities know that they have to be more careful than the rest of us. This makes me wonder though, if and how many, threats Cruise has had against him.

One insider has told In Touch, “A-list celebrities know they can’t be too careful. Tom’s vehicles look perfectly normal, but in reality they are more like armored trucks. He really, really loves his cars and he can afford the best.”

Cruise does have a professionally trained drivers who know how to get out of traffic problems and protect him from trouble. But Cruise also likes to drive his family places himself.

“Tom is a car nut,” the insider adds. “He has practical everyday cars, classic collectibles and high-powered sports cars like the Porsche 911 Turbo. Of course he loves every minute behind the wheel, but he’s not stupid and he’s not going to take any chances while he’s driving.”

Man, all I have to worry about is people running red lights and the day my kids get their licenses. :D

Joining a crowd filled with major stars such as Jack Nicholson, Sean Combs, Sly Stallone, Paula Abdul, Dylan & Cole Sprouse, Larry King, Pat O’Brien, Robert Downey Jr., David Spade, Tobey Maguire at the Staples Center on Sunday night, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden showed up to cheer the Los Angeles Lakers to a Game 5 win over the Boston Celtics. Besides checking out the local sports scene, the former Simple Life star and her Good Charlotte rocker honey have been entangled in recent wedding rumors that the little Mr. recently spoke up about.

Madden, 30, posted a prank message on his blog, which read:

“WE DID IT!! NICOLE AND I FINALLY GOT MARRIED!! Click here for pictures!!”

Of course he was spoofing a false report from Star magazine *gasp*, which claimed that he was planning a $2 million wedding, Joel continued:

“HAHA. JUST KIDDING. So I feel really stupid even posting this, but I’ve been getting calls and texts from my family all week asking me why they weren’t invited to my wedding.” “I guess the only answer I could give them was that I didn’t know we were having one!” he added. “So I just found that Star magazine wrote some story about a 2 MILLION dollar wedding we are supposed to be having, and that’s where it came from. Sooooo if you were pi–ed at me for not inviting you or even telling you, don’t blame me, there’s nothing to worry about,” Madden wrote. “It’s just Star magazine. How long do you think it will be before they write we called it off, or we broke up? I give them a week or two…….”

I have to admit, this is one couple I believe has staying power in Hollywood - with or without that thing called ‘marriage.’  I absolutely adore them!

With Gisele Bundchen absent from the Rio de Janeiro catwalk this season, many journalists and fashionistas have been asking themselves who the new face of Fashion Rio 2008 is.
Supermodel Isabeli Fontana has been heralded as one of the models to watch. She opened the show for Salinas swimwear collection, showed Cavendish, and Catao among others.
Fashion Rio coordinator and organiser Eloysa Simao said Fontana looks “better than ever.”
The Curitiba native, who made her return to the Rio runway after the birth of her second child and a long hiatus, has been featured in the magazines, Sports Illustrated, Elle, and Marie Claire. On top of that Fontana has graced the pages of Victoria’s Secret catalogue for the last ten years.
But the “it” girl of the season seems to be 19-year-old Emanuela de Paula, who “Tudo de Bom!” magazine called the “new star.”
The Northeastern native from Pernambuco state, who is also a Victoria’s Secret “angel,” modelled exclusively for swim wear brand Salinas this season.

Not everyone thinks Tony Romo’s accomplishment of hitting 84 at Torrey Pines this weekend was a fantabulous event.

Tony golfed with Justin Timberlake, Matt Lauer, and amateur John Atkinson at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California.

Why the foursome? Let me give you some background on why these four gents were golfing together in the first place (I mean, it’s not like Tony and Justin are pals. Or that Matt Lauer is hanging out with either one of them in his free time.) The whole thing started like this: Tiger Woods (yep - golf legend Tiger Woods) said last year that he thought no one with a 10 handicapp could break 100 at Torrey Pines because the course is just too difficult.

So three celebs and one amateur decided to prove him wrong. Tony Romo was the only one of the little group that did, shooting 84 with a 2.2 handicap. The rest of the group didn’t do too shabby either. Still, it was Tony’s round that seemed to impress everyone. Like this columnist, who said:

“Quite frankly, I think it is pretty amazing that Tony Romo is this good at two sports.”

But not everyone feels that way. Chris Baldwin over at TravelGolf.com said:

“Tony Romo didn’t do something great by shooting a birdie-less 84. He set golf back nearly 100 years by showing the worst of the game - some self-important gasbag who thinks his every meaningless putt is for the Masters turning golf into an endless crawl. Yeah, great 84. Maybe if you took 16 hours, you could have shaved it down to a 79.”

Baldwin’s beef with the gaga-ness over Tony is that the guy took too long and bragged just a bit too much. I have to agree. If you want to play with the big guys, then do it. Play the courses they play with the same conditions they play under. Which means you can’t belabor your shots to the point of taking seven hours to play a round. And that’s what Tony did.

No wonder the guy can’t make the U.S. Open.

Here’s the thing. Tony is a great golfer, sure. But to the point of hitting it with the big league guys? No way. Except, unlike every other football player who has months and months to practice his game during the year, Tony will not shut up about how great he is. That’d be fine if he really WAS that great. But he isn’t. He’s simply a guy with a lot of time on his hands to play golf, obsess about his old girlfriend, and act like a heel with Jessica Simpson.

Jessica Simpson has had happier times. Lately her sister is getting all the attention while Jess can’t seem to keep her love life or career together.

Like every pair of sisters, the Simpsons have a bit of sibling rivalry. But unlike most sisters, Jessica was always the one that got most of the attention from her parents. Now, suddenly Ashlee is front and center, making headlines with her music and personal life, while Jess has to struggle to get her on and off boyfriend to even take her to Ashlee’s wedding.

2.) Jessica has been labeled a jinx and a bad influence for Tony Romo.

It’s bad enough when your boyfriend’s friends don’t like you, but when thousands of fans have it out for you? When your mere presence at the game makes fans groan with disgust? That’s not fun.

3.) Ashlee Simpson has beat out Jess in a hotness poll.

For years Ashlee was the cute little sister, while Jessica was the babe. No matter what was happening in Jessica’s life, she could always rely on the fact that at least she got more attention for her looks. And she worked it. This year, however, Ashlee ranked much higher in Maxim’s Hot 100 list than Jessica. When you’ve depended on your looks your whole life, as Jessica has, that’s got to hurt.

4.) Jessica’s ex has moved on.

Getting over someone you cared about is hard enough, but when your ex has moved on? That’s especially hard. It’s no wonder Jessica was rumored to be drowning her sorrows with booze after hearing John Mayer had found love again with Jen Aniston.

Her romance with Tony Romo has been on again/off again for months. They break up for a short time and then immediately get back together. But even if they reconcile after this latest argument, it’s bound to only be for a short time. Tony is obviously not the one for Jess. But who is? Jessica has been struggling with love since she divorced Nick Lachey. She’s probably wondering the same thing we all are. When will cupid find her again?

Milo Ventimiglia, boyfriend to Hayden Panettiere, attended the NBC Universale annual upfront presentation at the Rockefeller Center in Manhattan last week. He looked great in his fancy little suit, with brown and white stripes beneath a navy sports jacket.

I wonder if he dresses himself, or if his “people” have anything to do with it. I noticed he always looks like he stepped right out of GQ Magazine. Either this guy’s got great taste, or really good help working for him. Whatever the case, Milo, you’re a stud.

In other news, I’m pretty sure he found a way to smile without his crazy slanted lip thing looking totally obvious.  I haven’t noticed it in quite awhile…and see how his lips are all pursed in the picture below?  Maybe he went to lip training.  Good job!

OK! Magazine went in search of the top 50 of the world’s sexiest men in sports, movies, television…even royalty. Fergie’s hottie fiancé Josh Duhamel was voted #32 on the list!

Yes, they certainly are a beautiful couple! This just confirms that the folks at OK! have good taste!!

Here’s a 2008 video of supermodel Bar Refaeli (girlfriend to Leonardo Dicaprio), that was shot for Sports Illustrated. After watching it, I have to say, I’m pretty sure she has fake boobs. I mean, if you weigh seven pounds and everything else on your body is tiny, that’s pretty much the only answer. Right?
