Here’s a “mash up” of some of Beyoncé’s performances of “Crazy in Love.” I really liked it. The fan obviously put a lot of time into it (don’t think I could put this much time into a mash up vid…). Anyway, it was fun to see just how consistent she is from one performance to another. Watch it here:

Bono and Beyoncé co-wrote the song, “American Prayer” and performed it together in South Africa. Bono said that it was inspired by how judgmental even the most religious people can be. The point was to eliminate the stigma surrounding being HIV positive. It’s a great performance and an important song. So glad she was a part of it:

Beyoncé sang “Learn to be Lonely” from the Phantom of the Opera soundtrack at the 2005 Academy Awards (Oscars). I thought that some parts of the song sounded better than others but she looked positively stunning (the eye make-up could have been toned down a bit, though).

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz get completely hounded by photographers as they leave the California Pizza Kitchen yesterday. The cameras and flashes are going nonstop as photographers ask them what they’re gonna name the baby. Pete jokes that they already had the baby as he puts a bag in the trunk. (Implying that the bag is the baby.) That Pete!

The paps then follow Ashlee as she stops off to get water and a snack. I tell ya, I don’t know if I could deal with that. Can you imagine just wanting some ice cream and having people stop you with camera flashes and questions every other minute?

Jay-Z sang a portion of “American Boy” which you may recognize as the breakout hit for Estelle feat. Kanye West. This song is so hot. Watch the original music vide on Hip Hop Roll. In the meantime, here’s a clip of Jay-Z:

Jay-Z covered the Oasis smash hit “Wonderwall” and “99 Problems” at the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England this weekend and I think he did a good job. It was great to see him totally Hova-rize the song (he sings off-key half the time in all of his songs but it works, somehow…lol).

I can’t believe that I don’t have this video up on here already but while I was scouring the internet looking for Beyoncé stuff, I spotted it and decided to post it today. The hair, the clothes, the beat… it’s all funky. I love it!

Famous producer, Rodney Jenkins, was interviewed recently and asked about Beyoncé’s third album. He said that all of her songs are “big sounding” and have an R&B meets pop style. After the unfinished track “Beautiful Nightmare” was released and then hearing Rodney comment on her album, I’m very curious as to what this album will sound like. It’s so exciting! The album is expected be released in November, so hopefully we won’t have to wait too long.

I opted to put up “great moments” from the talk shows and I couldn’t leave out Beyoncé’s performance of “Ring the Alarm.” It was so excellent and so much more energized than the musical acts they typically get on those morning shows. I loved seeing it again so much that I am putting it up here too. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
