SUPERMODEL Tyra Banks has appeared on a magazine cover in the role of US presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle.

The latest edition Harpers Bazaar features an interview with Banks and picture spread depicting her as First Lady and an Senator Obama lookalike as president.  Banks said before Senator Obama’s campaign for the White House she did not believe she would see a black president in her lifetime.

“When Barack won the nomination, I just started bawling. I started calling all these people, and everybody was talking to me like I was crazy,” she told Harpers Bazaar. “They’re like, ‘Well, he hasn’t won yet,’ but I’m like, ‘Yes, he has, because he’s gotten this far.’ I think he gives everybody so much hope.”

Banks’s turn as a possible future First Lady follows Paris Hilton throwing her hat into the US presidential race, declaring her desire to campaign against “that wrinkly white-haired guy” The blonde socialite responded to Republican candidate John McCain’s controversial use of her image in a campaign television spot last week with a satirical ad of her own posted on the website Funnyordie.com. In the ad, the 27-year-old appears reclining on a sun lounger beside a swimming pool, dressed only in a skimpy leopard-print bathing costume. “Hey America, I’m Paris Hilton and I’m a celebrity too,” she declares. “Only I’m not from the olden days and I’m not promising change like that other guy. I’m just hot. “But then that wrinkly white-haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I’m running for president. So thanks for the endorsement white-haired dude, and I want America to know I’m, like, totally ready to lead.” source: news.com.au

In an interesting turn of events, the judge in the Rob Lowe/Nanny sexual harrassment case, both sides are claiming victory, for now.

For Gibson, the judge ruled that Lowe could not pursue his defamation claims against her because the 24-year-old former nanny is protected under laws allowing people to protest alleged workplace conditions. Three other claims also were tossed.

But for Lowe’s side the judge threw out Gibson’s claim that the actor retaliated against her. Previously, the judge dismissed two of Gibson’s other claims against Lowe.

Jessica Gibson’s lawyer is calling it a “huge victory”, saying that they look forward to continuing with the charges against the Lowes.

Rob and his wife’s attorney said that they didn’t lose anything today. Their mouthpiece says, “I’m delighted with the dismissal we won, and in essence, our lawsuit against Gibson remains totally intact.”

Diane Lane has given hubby Josh Brolin an ultimatum: Give up alcohol or give up your wife.  Josh has had several alcohol fueled incidents recently including an arrest in Louisiana and an out of control argument with Sean Penn.   We admire Diane for refusing to enable this man. Rob Lowe and his wife are firing back at their former nanny’s sexual harassment charges by claiming now that Rob was the one that was the victim. They’re saying that former nanny Jessica Simpson was seeking attention from Rob and one time on a family vacation, she asked Rob to put suntan lotion on her. Rob’s wife Sheryl said no and that she’d do it herself and it wasn’t proper for her to ask Rob. Interesting.

And remember the former chef that was suing the Lowes but dropped the charges? He got paid off is now saying that Jessica was overly flirtatious with him and offered to have sex with him while the Lowe’s children were in the vicinity.

Insanity! Who’s telling the truth???

Nicole Richie hopes to be more relaxed parent than her folks, Lionel Richie and ex-wife Brenda. She recalls her upbringing was “really, really strict,” and said she hopes to be more easy-going with her daughter Harlow.

While the reality star hopes to be a cool mom, she admits that “you never know until it happens to you!”

Her parents may have been stern, but she said they were also “amazing.” Now their relationship has changed, but they are still “great people to turn to if I ever need advice.”

Nicole visits her mother three or four times a week, and sees dad Lionel once a week, so she’s got no shortage of parenting advice!

“[My dad] comes from a father standpoint. He gives Joel [Madden] a lot of advice,” she told Extra. “I get advice from my mom.”

It’s rare that the ex-wife is happy schmappy with the new wife. And so is the case with Marc Anthony and his ex, Dayanara Torres. Dayanara wrote a book, called Married to Me: How Committing to Myself Led to Triumph after Divorce, and even though she didn’t mention Jennifer or Marc by name it’s obvious she’s writing about them. And WHY would she do that?

One source thinks it’s because she wants to capitalize on Jen and Marc’s fame, and because (and there’s no surprise here) she isn’t quite over the divorce. Everytime Jennifer or Marc receive attention for something (J-Lo getting pregnant, the birth of the twins, their recent tour) Dayanara pops up out of nowhere and begins to talk.

When Jen found out she was pregnant, she announced it to her family only and asked them to please keep it a secret from the press. Jen had tried for years to get pregnant and she wanted to be safely into her pregnancy before the paparazzi followed her around snapping pictures. But Dayanara immediately blabbed this news, disrespecting their privacy.

Then, when the twins, Max and Emme, were born Dayanara began writing a book about her divorce from Marc Anthony.

It isn’t that Dayanara hasn’t had her share of relationships since she and Marc broke up. It’s that she can’t seem to get over the fact that they weren’t meant to be together. She whined about their original wedding ceremony. They separated. They got back together and had another ceremony to please Dayanara, but that wasn’t enough either and they separated yet again. After that Marc started dating Jennifer and Dayanara hasn’t gotten over it yet.

It’s not that Jen and Marc don’t think she shouldn’t move on and be happy, but why ride the coattails of their hard work and fame? One source close to the family says:

“The belief in the Lopez family is that Marc’s ex only did this to capitalise on Lopez’s marriage to Anthony and also because Torres is jealous of Anthony’s happiness. Torres can’t be happy that Anthony is raising the babies (five month olds Max and Emme) in the Opulent Long Island mansion she once shared with him and their two children.”

It’s hard to get over an ex, to be sure, especially when things were rocky in your relationship from the start. But Dayanara should realize she will only find happiness when she moves on from her anger over Marc’s relationship with Jennifer.

In a recent interview, ben stiller mentioned that he doesn’t think he’s funny. Here’s what he said:

“I don’t think I’m super-funny. I’m not the type of guy who goes around cracking jokes a lot. I’m probably not that funny in person. I am much more comfortable just making a movie.
“I love to laugh but I’ve never enjoyed having to be the guy who’s funny because it’s a lot of pressure.”
Ben, 42, also revealed his two-year-old son Quinlin — his second child with wife Christine Taylor — is still too young to realize his dad is a famous movie star.
He added, “Quinlin is so young — he’s not even three yet — so he doesn’t see too much. He has seen a little bit of ‘Night at the Museum‘ and he seems to accept that I’m the guy in the movie.
“My daughter Ella is almost six and she just accepts it. But I don’t think it’s a normal thing. I’m sure every parent who is famous finds it hard to explain it to their kids.” - source

Honestly, aren’t MOST comedians not that funny all the time? Who really could be? What we see on the movies is the result of carefully crafted scrips, production, sets, actors, etc. Nobody could duplicate that all the time in real life. And anyway, Ben Stiller does well as kind of an “everyman” - kind of like Tom Hanks, he’s not laugh out loud funny, but he gets in such awkward situations that you can’t help but laugh.

SIX months after his split from wife Natalie Imbruglia, reclusive rock star Daniel Johns happily posed with new girlfriend Louise Van de Vorst on a busy Sydney street on Friday night.
The glamorous couple stopped outside a Surry Hills restaurant, before the eccentric Johns later wrote a message telling photographers to, “F*** Off C****” .
Van de Vorst is a 20-year-old Sydney model with a striking resemblance to the “alien look” of internationally successful Perth girl Gemma Ward.
Imbruglia is believed to have also found new love with American nightclub boss Chris Paciello, and is regularly seen out on the town in London with fellow Australian singer Kylie Minogue.
Johns and Van de Vorst began the night canoodling as they sipped cocktails at an outside table at the upmarket Toko Japanese restaurant on busy Crown St.
A besotted Johns, 29, stared into her eyes as he brushed her hair back behind her ears.
The couple reportedly amused patrons of a Kings Cross night club last week when they disappeared into the cloakroom for 20 minutes.
After settling the bill on Friday night, they moved to the trendy Mille Vini wine bar. Enroute they posed for photographs with fans, even stopping to play with a puppy.
Spotting the camera while on one of many cigarette breaks outside the bar, Johns eventually became irritated by the attention and penned a note to the photographer.
Van De Vorst wore a black skirt and leather jacket, with her blonde hair out, giving a slightly dishevelled look. “I’m really super happy,” she said last week.
It was a big week for Johns, who sparked much gossip in the music industry with his peculiar acceptance speeches at the APRA Music Awards on Monday.
Accepting one of his three awards, Johns jumped up to the podium and straddled Environment and Arts Minister Peter Garrett.
He accessorised his outfit with a white wedding garter belt and overt eye make-up.
Van De Vorst didn’t accompany her new beau to the awards, opting to enjoy the facilities of their inner-city hotel room.
But she later gushed with pride at his winning songwriter of the year, as well as most played Australian work and song of the year for Straight Lines.
“I’m really proud of him,” she said. “He’s very talented.”
Van de Vorst was reportedly introduced to Johns by her former boyfriend, Liam O’Brien, guitarist with Aussie band The Scare and a part-time bartender at Hugo’s.

It is a bride’s privilege to be the last person to arrive at the church on her wedding day – but not, it seems, if you invite Kate Moss to the service.
The supermodel caused a stir at her friend Leah Wood’s marriage to Jack Macdonald yesterday afternoon by turning up at Southwark Cathedral in Central London ten minutes later than anyone else – including the bride.
Moss, who was with her daughter Lila Grace and rock-star boyfriend Jamie Hince, swanned in late following lunch at The Ritz hotel.
Wearing a floor-length grey strappy dress and six-inch grey heels, she posed for waiting photographers, apparently oblivious to the hour.
The bride, the 29-year-old daughter of Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, had arrived exactly on time.

Looking glamorous in a cream satin dress with a six-foot train, she was driven to the cathedral in a maroon Rolls-Royce and escorted into the church by her father.
Among the eclectic congregation were Rolling Stones Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, model Jerry Hall, artist Tracey Emin, snooker player Jimmy White and TV hosts Cilla Black and Paul O’Grady.
Jagger is believed to have arrived and left by a side door to avoid photographers.

Friends joked that Leah deliberately chose the longest day of the year to marry, so the ?250,000 party could last all the longer.
The reception at Ronnie’s mansion in Kingston, Surrey, had a Midsummer Night’s Dream theme and was not due to end until lunchtime today.
Ronnie left the organising to his daughter and wife Jo, who chose the organic menu, but did make a few suggestions of his own.

A source said: ‘Ronnie thought it would be funny to hire a group of dwarves as waiters – but no one knows if he actually did it.
‘The running joke is that if the dwarf waiters don’t show up she can always use the Rolling Stones as stand-ins.’

Miss Wood, who has dabbled in modelling and singing, has been dating Sky News producer Macdonald for 11 years.
A source said: ‘Today has been more than two years in the making and it really is Leah’s dream day.’
